Announcing our next Chief Manufacturing Officer

Exciting to announce our next CMO, Kirti Patel. Kirti joins us after 10 years spent leading Eppendorf Manufacturing Corp., a manufacturer of laboratory instruments for the life-sciences industry, located in Enfield, CT. Since leaving Eppendorf, he has served as board president of the Simsbury A Better Chance program, a nonprofit focused on supporting students from underserved communities. In addition, he has advised technology startups through Yale Ventures and the University of Connecticut’s Technology Incubation Program.  

Last week, Kirti jumped right in by attending the CT Manufacturing Innovation Forum; he was introduced by the Governor, spoke in front of hundreds of our constituents, and met with the press. Despite the trial by fire he still managed to close the event with a smile on his face. Pic below.

The manufacturing sector represents 12% of the CT economy - and a majority of that work is in support of our national defense. I'm incredibly proud of our shared history innovating in such an important sector, and am excited for Kirti's leadership driving it forward.
